Animal Welfare Board issues a show cause notice to Vijay's 'Varisu'

Vijay's 'Varisu' is inching toward a grand release for Pongal, and the makers of the film are slapped with a notice from the Animal welfare board. The Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) has issued a show cause notice to the makers of the Vijay starrer. A complaint has been filed as the Animal Welfare Board has not received the pre-shoot application from the 'Varisu' team to date. And the Animal Welfare Board has sent a show cause notice to the 'Varisu' team for using an elephant for a scene in the film without receiving permission from the board prior to the shooting. 'Varisu' has been facing troubles regularly, including shooting spot pictures from the film getting leaked. Earlier, the film faced another issue since the film's Telugu version was restricted to have a smooth release in Telugu states, however, the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce assured a safe release for the film in Telugu states and relieved the team. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, 'Varisu' features Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Actors Prabu, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Meena, Sneha, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Ganesh Venkatram among others will be seen in crucial roles. The final schedule of shooting is progressing steadily, and the film's intense post-production work is to begin soon. Thaman takes care of the music, and the composer is preparing to deliver the second single track soon.
