Watch: 'Holy Wound' trailer showcases love between two women from different social backgrounds

With the coming of the newbie directors and indeed with the help of OTT platforms, several Malayalam film directors, through their films, have indeed broken the orthodox barricade that was erected in society over the years. The latest entry into the category is Asok R Nath’s film ‘Holy Wound’. The film is all set to stream via an OTT platform from August 12 onwards. The makers of ‘Holy Wound’ recently unveiled the trailer for the film along with the streaming date of the movie. The film is touted as a silent movie that explores the lives of two young women who enter into a very romantic relationship blinded by the fact that they are separated by the orthodox barricade as both of them are from different social backgrounds. The ‘Holy Wound’ trailer shows glimpses of love between two young women one among them is a nun and another one a normal housewife. Some of the sequences in the trailer show that both of them are very unhappy with their current life as they are living separately with entirely different backgrounds and occupations. Some of the scenes in the trailer also show that both of them were already in love at a very young age and got separated as one among them turned into a nun and another one a housewife. ‘Holy Wound’ features the actors Janaki Sudheer, Amrutha Vinod, and Shabu Praudeen in the lead roles. Actress Janaki Sudheer has played pivotal roles in several Malayalam movies such as ‘Chunks’, and ‘Oru Yamandan Premakadha’.
