Unni Mukundan’s Meppadiyan goes on floors

Unni Mukundan has started work on his first film after the lockdown – Meppadiyan. The movie, which is directed and scripted by Vishnu Mohan, went on floors on Monday. The movie is touted to be a family entertainer and will also mark Unni Mukundan’s debut production venture. The film chronicles the life of a commoner named Jayakrishnan, played by Unni. Apart from the actor, Meppadiyan has a host of noted actors including Indrans, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, Anju Kurian, Vijay Babu, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Sreejith Ravi, Aparna Janardhanan and Major Ravi. Composer Rahul Subramanian will handle the music department of the movie, which has Shameer Muhammed as its editor and Neil D’Cunha as the cinematographer. Vipin Kumar is its production manager. The movie will be shot across 48 live locations across Erattupetta and Pala, and the makers are aiming at a theatrical release for the movie next year.
