Tovino Thomas thrilled over '2018' as India's official Oscars 2024 entry

Mollywood film '2018' has earned the prestigious honor of being India's official entry for the Oscars in 2024. In an interaction with a media outlet,Tovino conveyed his joy and mentioned that he is currently in Amsterdam, far from Kerala, where he would have loved to celebrate this moment with his team. Nevertheless, he expressed his eagerness to return to Kerala soon and organize a well-deserved celebration for this remarkable feat. He emphasized that the news of '2018' making it to the Oscars 2024 filled him with happiness and pride. Reflecting on the film's journey, Tovino acknowledged that '2018' was no ordinary movie to create. He described this achievement as a proud moment not only for the Malayalam film industry but also for India as a whole. Meanwhile, the 96th Oscars, celebrating films released in 2023, are scheduled to take place on March 10, 2024, in Los Angeles.
