Tovino Thomas resumes shoot after recovering from injury

Actor Tovino Thomas, after three weeks of rest, has joined the sets of Kanekane and the team welcomed him with warm celebrations. On October 7, the actor was admitted in a private hospital in Kochi due to internal injuries happened while shooting the fight sequences of Kala. The Rohit VS directorial was his first movie post lockdown. Kanekane had begun it's shoot a few weeks back and the team had gone into quarantine after a few in the film industry became covid positive. The team resumed the shoot cutting cake. The film is directed by Manu Ashokan and scripted by Boby-Sanjay. Tovino had a 200ml blood clot in his stomach and the doctors wanted to make sure that his other organs weren't affected by it. So he was kept under observation for 48 hours. About the injury, Tovino had earlier said that there was bleeding in two areas. "I don’t usually bother much about minor aches, so I just ignored the initial pain and continued working. The pain from the second injury was beyond my tolerance level," he recollects.
