Singer Edava Basheer, who popularized ‘Ganamela’ in Kerala passed away on Saturday night as he collapsed during a live music performance. He was 78. As per the reports, Edava Basheer was rushed to the hospital immediately after he collapsed on stage but his life could not be saved. The incident took place at 9:30 pm night. Edava Basheer was performing at the venue of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Blue Diamond Orchestra and the singer was crooning the popular Hindi song of KJ Yesudas ‘Maane Ho Tum’ when he suddenly felt chest pain resulting in him collapsing on the stage in front of the live audience.
