Ranjith Sankar's creative lockdown

Ranjith Sankar seems to have found a key to a creative chest during the lockdown. The filmmaker has penned four screenplays with a “couple more on the way”, short stories and an English poem, which he was trying his hand at “after a long time”.Ranjith points out that usually, he revs up to start a project on the first day of Chingam, but the pandemic and the resultant lockdown threw things out of gear. “This unexpected free time has given me the opportunity to develop ideas that have been on my mind for a while. Also, since I there is no pressure of imminent film work, I am able to think without limitation. In fact, I believe this has given artistes and the world the chance to reflect on things. This should have a positive impact on our lives and work,” he says.
