Murali Gopy as Simon Thomas; ‘Kochaal’ teaser 3 out now

Actor-writer Murali Gopy is all set to play a significant role in the upcoming Shyam Mohan directorial film ‘Kochaal’, and the recently released teaser for the film unveils his tough cop character whose name is Simon Thomas aka Irumban. Murali Gopy’s character Simon Thomas is showcased in the teaser as an intelligent yet tough cop who is smart enough to have solved several difficult homicide cases. The teaser also shows a brawl between Murali Gopy and Shine Tom Chacko’s character who is a local thug named Pinker Babu. Last week, the makers also introduced Shine Tom Chacko as Pinker Babu with a second teaser of the film. Indrans and Sankar’s cop characters were also revealed in the first teaser for ‘Kochaal’. Looking at all the teasers and posters, Shyam Mohan and the writer Midhun-Prajith are aiming at creating a series of memorable characters along with a thrilling yet simplistic storyline. Jomon Thomas and Arun Bhaskar will crank the lens for ‘Kochaal’ and Bijish Balakrishnan is roped in as the editor for the film. Manikandan Ayyappa is in charge of the background score of ‘Kochaal’ and Mafia Sasi will handle the action choreography. Meanwhile, Murali Gopy was last seen in the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer film ‘Kuruthi’ where he played a key role as the police character named Sathyan. On the other hand, Murali Gopy announced on the last day that he has completed the scripting works of Mohanlal’s upcoming movie ‘L2: Empuraan’ which is the second installment of ‘Lucifer’ directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
