Meet Gopi Sundar's Corona Thangamma

Musician Gopi Sundar has a ‘corona’ that is bringing joy to his life. It is a cute, month-old black pug, he has named Corona Thangamma, that he got from a friend. "I had huge work pressures, but now I have plenty of free time. The cutie comes as a breath of fresh air. She makes our days bright and it looks like we have a new born at home. Feeding her baby food and playing with her are our favourite activities now," says Gopi Sundar.An animal lover, the National Award-winning composer has six dogs. "My other dogs are Kalyani, Purushu, Tiago, Shivaji and Choopi," he says, animatedly.During the early days of lockdown, Gopi Sundar befriended some goats that were wandering around his house, and drew everyone’s attention to the necessity of feeding the strays during the lockdown days. "We cannot survive without nature; the world does not belong only to people. Animals have the equal right to live here," he says.
