Malayali actor Mohanlal denies entering politics

Veteran Malayali actor Mohanlal has no inclination towards making a career in politics. Clearing the air on speculations that he might contest Lok Sabha elections on a BJP ticket, the actor, who has been in the film industry for over four decades, said that he is not interested in politics. According to reports, he said, "Politics is not my cup of tea. I enjoy the freedom I get in my profession. Politics is not easy as a lot of people depend on you. Also, I do not understand the subject much and have no such inclination." Unlike Tamil superstars Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth who announced their entry into politics, Mohanlal wants to stay an actor. He was recently chosen for Padma Bhushan, one of the highest civilian honours.
