Anchor-actress- activist Ranjini Haridas is known for her happy life and bold nature. No wonder she became one of the most sought-after Emcees in Kerala. Her style and expressions have been popular among the Malayalis and many have felt that she is an irreplaceable public speaker.
The 37-year-old who was one among the final contestant of Bigg Boss season 1, recently told us that she is happy being single. She also added that growing up as the daughter of a single mom, she never understood the concept of marriage itself. “I have never been bored with my life and I’m very content with where I’m today. I complete myself,” she says. Though people around her don’t probe now about singlehood, she reveals there was such a phase too. “My liberal family was fine with me staying single but the conventional lot around weren’t. I used to respond, ‘It’s my life, let me live it on my own terms’. I respected their concern but never cared,” says Ranjini. As for feeling the need for a partner, she says, “If it happens organically, well and good. I go on dates but I’m too independent to feel the need of a marriage. I feel it’s for those who need a shoulder of support.”
