It is not often that we see actors sawing and drilling on wood, so Akshay Radhakrishnan’s videos of his carpentry work posted on social media, has followers and even actor colleagues like Sarjano Khalid going ga-ga over them. Apart from making a bed for himself and two for his cats, stool, plant stands, bird houses, shelves and more, the Pathinettam Padi actor seems to be giving his house in Aluva a ‘green’ makeover, and from the bare plot it was four years back, he now has six trees on the 2.5 cent land. “I have always wanted my home to be, almost literally, a pleasant retreat. The house used to be unbearably hot when we first moved in, but now my friends love to come over, because it feels really cool in here,” he says.
