Actor Abhirami is all praise for Bollywood film ‘Badhaai Do’. The actress, who has worked in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada movies, recently watched the Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Badhaai Do’ and just cannot stop gushing about it. The actress took to her Instagram handle to share her thoughts on the film. Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, ‘Badhaai Do’ said the story of a couple in a lavender marriage. Taking to her social media handle, Abhriami penned, “#badhaaido just watched this lovely movie that talks about a topic that seldom gets spoken about. Beyond the main theme of the movie, it also touches upon so many stereotypes about the role of the husband and the wife in our society. Also, the fact that non-heterosexual couples cannot adopt or even have children through surrogacy (according to the recent law change) and beautifully woven in. One such movie may not change the fabric of our society, but it may help to normalise LGBTQ conversations. Go ahead and give it a watch.
