Abu Salim's push-up challenge for actors

Malayalam actor Abu Salim, who debuted in the film industry in the year 1978 through the movie titled Rajan Paranja Kadha, is a fitness enthusiast – policeman – turned actor. Abu Salim is known most for his tough, scary, villainous roles and he has played the characters across languages, like Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu in addition to Malayalam film industry. The actor is also known for his admirable physique, and he has won many titles in fitness related competitions across South India, such as the Mr Calicut Title for the year 1981, Mr Kerala title for the year 1982 and more. He has become Mr South India three times, in the years 1983, 1986 and 1987.
