Senior actor slams the FIR against Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh kicked up a social media storm last week after the pictures from her nude photoshoot for a magazine went viral. While many went gaga over him appreciating his confidence and brave attitude, there were some who weren’t impressed with the photoshoot at all. Even a case has been registered against the actor. However, many celebs from the film fraternity including Alia Bhatt have extended their support for Ranveer. A few days ago, Mimi Chakraborty also raised some serious questions orf gender equality while sharing her views on the nude photoshoot.And now, actor Kharaj Mukherjee has slammed the people responsible for making the photoshoot such a big issue. According to the senior actor, this incident once again proves how negative social media has become. “This is ridiculous. I don’t understand whether these people have anything else to do than create unnecessary controversies. Ranveer is not the first actor who has done nude photoshoots. Neither will he be the last one. I have also heard that a case has been registered against him and the reason is some think he is hurting sentiments of women. I just want to ask one question. Are you really advancing or going backward? Is this an example of a progressive society? I wish these negative-minded people realize the gravity of the situation soon,” Kharaj told ETimes on the sidelines of an event.
