Mimi Chakraborty set for Bollywood debut

Mimi Chakraborty is currently in Mumbai to shoot for her first Hindi film. After playing a pivotal role in Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s ‘Posto’, Mimi is now working on the film’s Hindi remake. While we are eager to see the actress debut in a Hindi movie, we are curious to know how good her grip on the language is. “Hindi was my second language in school. So, I know it well. Also, while growing up in Arunachal Pradesh, we would mostly converse in Hindi with friends and neighbours,” shared Mimi.Talking about her work commitments in Kolkata, Mimi said she feels fortunate for being offered a variety of roles, “As an actor, that is extremely gratifying. All my projects are different from each other. After I am back, I will start dubbing for Arindam Sil’s Khela Jawkhon. Then I will start shooting for PB Chaki’s Palash er Biye. After that, I will get busy with the promotions of Mainak Bhaumik’s Mini. So, my calendar is pretty chock-a-block.” There is a strong buzz that Mimi has got something special to share on Poila Boishakh. On being asked for a hint, the actress said, “Yes, I have something exciting to share on Poila Boishakh. It is related to my personal life, but please do not think I am getting married. The news is more exciting than that.”
