When Sapna Choudhary revealed the reason of not getting work in Hindi film and TV industry

Popular Haryanvi dancer and stage performer Sapna Choudhary is currently enjoying the success of her latest track 'Hichki'. Sapna became a household name after participating in the 10th season of popular reality show 'Bigg Boss' as a commoner. However, it was her dance on the popular Haryanvi song 'Teri Aakhya Ka Yo Kajal' which got her fame and recognition. She has since then appeared in many popular music videos and Bollywood films like 'Veerey Ki Wedding' and 'Nanu Ki Jaanu'. But, it seems things haven't been too great for Sapna in the Hindi film and TV industry. Recently, in an exclusive chat with ETimes, she opened up about the discrimination she faced in the entertainment industry. Sapna said, 'I will complete 15 years in showbiz this year. I want to act in a Hindi film or TV show, but I feel since I am from the regional entertainment industry (Haryana), I don’t get the opportunities to showcase my talent. I don’t want to wear revealing clothes and I cannot speak fluent English, which becomes a barrier at times. Also, I don’t have a godfather and that's another reason why I have been struggling to get a break in the Hindi industry.' For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
