When Chitrangda Singh lost modelling assignments because of her dusky complexion

Bollywood beauty Chitrangda Singh, who marked her acting debut with 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi' has several hit films and dance numbers to her credit. Now, in a recent interview, the actress opened up about the discrimination she has had to face because of her dusky complexion. Not only while growing up, but professionally also, Singh revealed that she has lost many modelling assignments because of her skin tone. She said, 'I was specifically told the reason as it had come down to selecting between two people for the part. Luckily, the audition that I did for a product was seen by Gulzar Saab, who got me on board for his music video. I realized that not everybody goes out looking for white-skinned people here'.
