The celebrated music director Mohammed Zahur 'Khayyam' Hashmi aka 'Khayyam' died of cardiac arrest at 9:30 pm on August 19th. The veteran music composer was struggling with lung infection and was admitted to the ICU on July 28th. He was on ventilator for quite some time and he will be buried at the Four Bungalows graveyard on August 20th. Khayyam, who started his career at the age of 17 and composed music for famous films like 'Kabhie Kabhie' and 'Umrao Jaan', was awarded Padma Bhushan in the year 2011.
