Celebrities from all over the world have been taking to social media to appeal to governments to help the people of Afghanistan after the Taliban took back control of the country. Actress Tisca Chopra is the latest celebrity to address the crisis as she made a special appeal to governments and the UN to help the people of Afghanistan. She also reminisced about her childhood days spent in Kabul. She further urged people to put pressure on the international community and to continue this conversation on social media. Not just Tisca, actress Saumya Tandon, too, said she is worried for the people of Afghanistan, including her friends there. She had visited Kabul in 2008 to shoot for a project. During her stay there, she made many friends and fell in love with the 'warm and giving locals'. Speaking to ETimes, the actress said, 'After the recent unrest, I tried contacting my Indian friends through whom I had gone there, but I didn’t get any reply. I hope they are safe. I just want to reach out and ask them if they are okay because the visuals that we are seeing are very disturbing. I feel helpless, but my prayers are with them and my heart goes out to them.'
