Tanushree Dutta opens up on her near death experiences, reveals her parents were told to 'be prepared for funeral'

Bollywood actress and former Miss India Tanushree Dutta might have stayed away from the limelight for many years, but for the last 3 years, she has been the face of the #MeToo movement in the country. Tanushree, who has worked in films like, 'Aashiq Banaya Apna', 'Chocolate', 'Bhagam Bhag', 'Dhol', 'Apartment' and others is currently working on rebuilding herself and starting afresh. The actress shed more than 18 kilograms in 18 months and is enjoying all the attention and compliments coming her way. Now, as the actress turned a year older on March 19th, she gave an exclusive interview to ETimes and talked about all the near-death experiences she's had so far and how they have shaped her up as a person. Tanushree revealed, when she was little, doctors told her parents to prepare for a funeral, because she had a serious illness. She said, 'I was a premature baby, born in seven months. Just after my birth, I was diagnosed with severe jaundice and the doctors had given up, asking my parents to be prepared for a funeral. But as fate would have it, I lived and was a healthy baby.'
