Taapsee Pannu believes 'honesty' gives her the 'confidence to be fearless'

Actress Taapsee Pannu is one of the most vocal actresses in the B-Town and often puts up her views and opinions over important issues firmly on social media. The actress recently opened up on her fearless and outspoken attitude and said, 'I have been like this all my life. When you start from scratch and build everything, including this impression people have of me, over a period of time with hard work, and not by fluke, you don’t have to make an extra effort to protect it. By now, people can see this is who I am; it’s not a facade. I don’t have skeletons in my cupboard. My honesty gives me the confidence to be fearless.' Recently, actress Taapsee Pannu along with noted filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and his partners who launched the now-shuttered production house Phantom Films have come under the scanner of the Income Tax Department after the officials raided their property alleging them for tax evasion. Speaking about the same, the actress said that she and her family are doing fine despite all the raids and questioning that took place for a couple of days. Earlier, the actress posted multiple tweets to address all the allegations made by the IT department and also quipped as she tweeted, 'P.S- not so sasti anymore'. Meanwhile, speaking about her journey, the actress said, 'It came to a point when I became an engineer, and I wanted to pursue modelling and acting. My being in cinema was a far-fetched idea for my parents and it took me a lot of effort to change that. For them, it was difficult to accept that I will live alone in a new city when I started working in the South film industry. Eventually, I also got my sister to stay with me and we moved to Mumbai and started working in Bollywood.'
