Salman Khan's rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur on the Russia-Ukraine crisis: 'My heart goes out to innocent lives lost in this war'

Since Russia launched its military action in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the war has caused over a hundred civilian casualties and pushed tens of thousands of Ukrainians to flee to neighboring countries. The entire world is shocked to see such aggression by Russia and shaken up by this crisis. Many celebrities are also taking to their social media handles and showing their support to Ukraine and its people. Now, singer and Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur also took to her Instagram handle and penned a note urging for peace. She wrote, 'War does not take sides. It only causes loss of life and suffering. My heart goes out to innocent lives lost in this war. The only side I am on is that may humanity choose peace against every possible option.' She also shared a video using the hashtag 'no war' wherein Russian people were seen protesting against their country's invasion of Ukraine. Other Bollywood celebs have also voiced their opinion on social media and condemned Russia’s invasion. While Bhumi Pednekar penned a positive message saying, '‘Love Not War #prayforukraine'. Samantha Ruth Prabhu also took a stand against war as she shared a quote written by singer Chinmayi saying, 'Everyone deserves to live in peace and happiness. #Ukraine’. Actress Esha Gupta shared a note saying, ‘For all those taking sides, remember, no citizen ever wants war..’. Richa Chadha also did not hold back in condemning the war declared by Russia. Sharing a post on the Ukraine crisis on her Instagram stories, Richa included a ‘No war’ sticker as a caption. Not only Bollywood, but celebs from Hollywood also condemned Russia's attack on Ukraine. Actor Ryan Reynolds urged the people to help the Ukrainian people as he shared a post saying, 'n 48 hours, countless Ukrainians were forced to flee their homes to neighbouring countries. They need protection.'
