The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the lives and livehoods of many across tthe country. Some got support from their family, friends or various organisations, whereas some are still left with hope. Amid all these actor Ronit Roy has expressed his gratitude towards some of the top actors of Bollywood. Here's why! Apart from being one of the most popular actors of telly world, Ronit also runs a security agency. But due to the pandemic he also went through shortage of funds for his staff. However, three of top Bollywood personalitiea Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar came to his rescue. In a conversation with a radio host, Ronit said, 'So, Mr Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar. They never even called me. Actually, I was in doubt that all of this is shut, all the boys are at home. Their office called me that we have done the transfer, but send us the bills when things open again. I didn't ask them to do it, but they did it. My wife and I had a conversation… that time we did not know how long it will go on…I asked her what do we do?' Ronit also revealed that many did not even clear dues even after using the services. Earlier in a conversation with ETimes, Ronit opened up about the struggles he faced post the lockdown in 2020. He said, 'Post lockdown in March 2020, I decided to shut down my security agency. My wife Neelam and I sat down and realized that there was a lot happening; some worker’s wife was pregnant, someone’s mother was unwell. I decided to keep them on the roster. As for my clients, the so-called stars, they went away. Only a few, in fact, just two - Mr. Bachchan and Akshay Kumar - stood by me in the lockdown and I am very grateful to them.' He also mentioned that as soon as his firm decided to resume work, Ronit asked 110 employees to return to their duties, but 40 of them declined to state that it would be difficult for them to return to Mumbai from their hometowns. When asked if the clients who he lost decided to approach him after things got better, this is what the actor had said, 'Those clients cannot be short on money. A few of them decided to approach and come back to me but I refused to work with them.'
