'I like to cook meals for my family and friends and do gardening in my free time', says the yesteryear actress Kimi Katkar. Presently, staying with her husband and ad guru Shantanu Sheorey and son Siddhant at her beautiful house in Goa, Kimi made her Bollywood debut as a supporting actress in the film, 'Patthar Dil' at the age of twenty in 1985. Still remembered as the 'Jumma Girl' by her fans for her dance and performance in the film 'Hum', Kimi featured in the film 'Adventures of Tarzan' alongside Hemant Birje in 1985 and even though the film failed at the box office, the actress caught everyone's attention with her bold act in the film. In twelve years of her acting career, Kimi worked in more than fifty films and managed to carve a place for herself in the industry in the year 1988 with back-to-back hit films like 'Dharamyudh', 'Sone Pe Suhaaga', and 'Shiv Shakti'. Kimi was at the highest point in her career when she decided to marry Shantanu Sheorey. Blessed with a baby boy named Siddhant, Kimi was living the life that she had always dreamed of until she discovered that her nine-year-old son had stomach cancer. She moved to Melbourne for his treatment and five years later, returned to India. Today, Kimi Katkar is a star in her own story, who doesn't like being called a 'yesteryear's actress' but as an 'eternal gypsy'.
