In the past, where actors have openly endorsed skin whitening products, in the recent years, because of the open discussion on self-love and body positivity, now, Bollywood actors are refraining from promoting such products. Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas was one such actress before she left for the West to pursue a career there. But, it was recently when Priyanka spoke about the hostility she experienced after endorsing skin-whitening creams in India. As a result of the same, the actress stopped participating in such campaigns. The actress now accepts that she used to promote fairness products but she regrets doing so.
