Priya became an overnight celebrity after a small teaser of her wink from her Malayalam film went viral across the internet. At a recent interview, Priya Prakash revealed that she was put under house arrest by her family when her video went viral overnight as she was continuously hounded by press and people who wanted to get a glimpse of the 'wink girl'. She added that since everything was new for her family, her parents didn't allow her to go out and it was her father who would answer repeated knocks on the door and tell the press that she was in hostel or was out.
