Recently, the Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai Police filed a 176-page long charge sheet against Bollywood producer Prernaa Arora. The 'Padman' and 'Kedarnath' producer is accused of committing fraud of Rs 31 crore along with two others by another Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani. During 2016-18, the producer had taken a loan of Rs 31 crore under the name of her mother along with the co-owners of KriArj entertainment, Arjun N Kapoor and Pratima Arora to produce, 'Padman' and 'Kedarnath.' Prernaa reportedly borrowed money for 'Kedarnath' despite the fact that the rights of the film didn’t belong to her. Arora has also taken a loan of Rs 9 crore from Bhagnani to buy a property in Pali Hill. Later, Bhagnani filed a case against Arora in July 2018 with Mumbai Police when she refused to return back his money. Prernaa Arora was arrested by the Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai Police last year in December.
