Oscars 2021 was recently held at various locations due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic where late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan and costume designer Bhanu Athaiya were paid tributes in the Memoriam category. Other than these, prominent names from Hollywood like Sean Connery, Christopher Plummer and Chadwick Boseman were also paid tribute by the Academy in the remembrance segment. The Academy, in its tribute, dropped a montage and paid homage to artistes including actors, writers, directors, and technicians who passed away last year. The Academy also issued a statement that read, 'It was a year of profound loss in so many ways. At the Academy, we remember these accomplished filmmakers and artists'.
