NCB SIT to probe only Sameer Khan, Aryan Khan and Armaan Kohli cases

After facing the uproar over alleged procedural irregularities by NCB's zonal director Sameer Wankhede post the infamous cruise drug case involving Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, NCB Special Investigation Team had taken over the six cases from the Mumbai unit for further investigation. However, as per the latest reports, SIT has now dropped three of the cases and will now only be probing cases that involve Aryan Khan, Maharashtra minister's son in law Sameer Khan, in which a chargesheet has already been filed and the one of actor Armaan Kohli. In a conversation with a news portal, a senior official from NCB has said, 'The SIT will now only be probing these three cases. While initially six cases were transferred to the SIT, it came to light that no foreign linkages were present in the remaining three cases and they were dropped from the NCB probe.' Talking about the update in these three cases, in the cruise drug case, NCB officials have already recorded the statements of Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant. According to reports, NCB SIT will be filing the chargesheet in the case. The SIT is treating this case with the highest priority and wants to conclude their probe at the earliest, keeping in mind the sensitivity and big names involved in it. In a conversation with the media, Gyaneshwar Singh, NCB DDG, said, 'Our investigation is on, and we are giving it the highest priority…we want to conclude it at the earliest. We are yet to include some key people into the investigation.' Meanwhile, in other cases, one involving Sameer Khan, NCB will soon be summoning him to record his statement in connection and will also be filing a chargesheet in the Armaan Kohli case. Notably, after the emergence cruise drug case, NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede has been at the center of a storm after serious accusations like extortion demand were levelled against him by the Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik and an NCB 'witness' Prabhakar Sail. After this, the Delhi unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau had taken over the investigation of a few high-profile cases.
