Three stories of Ismat Chughtai, the fiercely bold, feminist Indian writer in Urdu, came alive on Jaipur’s stage as Naseeruddin Shah,Ratna Pathak Shah and Heeba Shah performed and narrated the tales at Jawahar Kala Kendra’s Rangayan auditorium recently.The short stories, put together in an act Ismat Apa Ke Naam, deal with women and tales of their survival in a male dominated society.
