#MeToo: Rajkumar Hirani issues statement denying sexual assault allegations

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has reacted to the allegations of sexual assault levelled against him. In his statement, he has said that he was completely shocked when these allegations were brought to his notice about two months ago. His suggestion was to present the matter to a legal body or committee but the complainant has instead chosen to approach the media. He has vehemently denied the allegations and called them false, malicious and mischievous stories spread with the intention of destroying his reputation.
