#MeToo movement: Mumbai Court reprimands Alok Nath over his absence

While hearing the defamation suit filed by Alok Nath, a Mumbai court objected to his absence after he failed to appear in court. Alok Nath's lawyer asked for the actor's exemption to be present in court, in which the defence objected and demanded his presence terming it to be necessary. The court then asked him to be present in the next hearing, which is slated on October 25. The court also did not pass an interim order and allowed Vinta Nanda to use social media to comment on the ordeal and allegations against Alok Nath.
