Mamta Kulkarni’s latest unrecognisable pictures take cyberspace by storm

Once touted to be one of the most beautiful actresses in Hindi cinema, today, actress Mamta Kulkarni enjoys life away from the spotlight. While she's not on any social media platform as far as we know, her many fan pages keep sharing her current pictures. Most recently, a fan page shared a few unrecognisable pictures of the actress, who is now almost 50. In the pictures, Kulkarni, who used to rule over millions of hearts with her films, looks mature and happy. One might even say she looks like she's ageing gracefully in the photos that have gone viral. While she likes to remain low-key, she is often seen making headlines for her alleged involvement in a global drug cartel scandal. Only recently, a special court in Thane rejected the actress' application for de-freezing her six bank accounts, three FDs and releasing two Mumbai flats sealed in connection with a Rs 2,000-crore drugs case. Through her lawyer, Kulkarni submitted in the court that she has been falsely implicated in the 2016 case and is the only bread earner of her family. Kulkarni in her plea said that one of her sisters is suffering from a mental ailment and undergoing treatment at a centre in Panvel in Navi Mumbai since the past 8 years and with all her bank accounts and FD's being freezed, she is unable to bear the medical expenses and other financial requirements of her sister. In fact, in an earlier plea, the actress who now lives in Kenya, stated that she has done over 50 films and that just based on grounds that she 'has some cordial relationship with co-accused Vicky Goswami, she cannot be arraigned as accused.' Vicky Goswami is reported to be Mamta's husband but the actress has always denied that. Coming to the case, in 2016, two cars were intercepted by cops and were found to be carrying 2-3 kgs of Ephedrine (powder), a controlled substance under the NDPS Act. The consignment was worth over Rs 80 lakh. During the investigation, 10 people were arrested while 7 were shown as wanted, including Mamta Kulkarni. The prosecution alleged that the accused, Vicky Goswami, along with a few others, held a meeting in hotel Bliss in Mombasa, Kenya in January 2016. In this meeting, Kulkarni was also alleged to have taken part.
