When Mahi broke the news, she explained how it was her conscious decision to keep her pregnancy and daughter's birth under wraps. Furthermore, she disclosed that her pregnancy never came to light because she took a year's break from acting since she wasn't getting any work. As for marriage plans, the 43-year-old actress said she might tie the knot with her significant other next year in a 'very simple Hindu wedding ceremony'.
