Mahashay Dharampal Gulati passes away at 97: Bollywood celebrities pay homage

Dharampal Gulati, who was the owner of the MDH Masala brand, fondly called the grand old man of spices, passed away on December 3 at the age of 97. Reportedly, he died of cardiac arrest in a Delhi hospital. The entire nation mourned the death of Mahashay Dharampal Gulati including Bollywood celebs. Celebs like Ashoke Pandit, Kailash Kher, Aditi Mittal and Nandish Sandhu paid heartfelt tribute to him on social media. Aditi Mittal wrote, 'Thank you for giving us one of the most iconic advertising campaigns in Indian history', while filmmaker Ashoke Pandit wrote, 'Sad to know about the demise of King of spices Padma Shri #DharampalGulati ji. He will always be remembered for his extraordinary contribution.'
