Madhur Bhandarkar visits ailing Dilip Kumar at hospital, asks all to 'Pray for his speedy recovery'

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar got admitted to Mumbai's Hinduja hospital on the morning of June 6 after he complained of breathlessness. This news left the entire nation worrying about the legendary star and people started praying for the speedy recovery of 98-year-old star. Now, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who is an admirer of legendary actor Dilip Kumar, visited the veteran actor in the hospital and got clicked by the shutterbugs. He also spoke to the 98-year-old actor’s wife and actress Saira Banu, who informed him that 'Dilip Sahab is stable now and we should just keep him in our prayers for his speedy recovery'. Earlier, even death reports of Dilip Kumar started making rounds on social media. Soon after that, his wife Saira Banu took to Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter handle and shared a note urging everyone to not believe in the rumours. She wrote, 'Past few days my beloved husband, Yousuf Khan, has been unwell and recuperating at a hospital in Mumbai. Through this note, I want to thank all of you for keeping him in your prayers and for all the love and affection. My husband, my kohinoor, Dilip Kumar Sahab’s health is stable and doctors have assured me that he should be discharged soon. She added, 'I urge you to not believe in rumors. While I ask you to pray for I am praying that the Almighty keep all of you safe and healthy during this pandemic. Sincerely, Saira Banu Khan.' Dilip Kumar has been making regular visits to the hospital due to his health condition and was last admitted at the end of April for a check-up and minor health issues. He has been avoiding socialising and meeting people after the COVID-19 outbreak considering the age factor.
