Just after the cremation of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar at Mumbai's Shivaji Park on Feruary 6, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Ram Kadam wrote a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray demanding a memorial at the same place. Congress didn't oppose BJP's demand and insisted that Lata ji's memorial should be built at Shivaji Park. However, the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena opposed the move.
