Kangana Ranaut has landed in legal trouble over her comment on India’s Independence. A Congress leader has filed a complaint against the actress at Jaipur's Vaishali Nagar police station for her 'India's freedom bheek' remark. According to reports, the complainant has stated that Kangana's comment is an insult to freedom fighters and the constitution of India. The police are now investigating the matter. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut sparked a nationwide debate following her 'real freedom' remark during her recent interview. On the other hand, the firebrand actress Kangana took to her Instagram account recently to slam actor-comedian Vir Das for his video titled 'I come from two Indias.' Kangana termed Vir's act as 'soft terrorism' and wrote, 'When you generalise all Indian men as gang-rapists it gives rise and encouragement to racism and bullying against Indians all over the world...after Bengal Famine Churchill famously said, ‘These Indians breed like rabbits they are bound to die like this...’ he blamed Indians’ sex drive/fertility for the death of millions because of hunger... Such creative work targeting an entire race is soft terrorism... strict actions must be taken against such criminals @virdas.' Vir Das had uploaded a video on his YouTube account which kicked off a firestorm in cyberspace. The comedian had recently performed at John F Kennedy Centre in Washington DC where he criticised India on certain issues, but many took it as an 'insult' and started trolling him. After receiving severe backlash in cyberspace and even some police complaints filed against him, Vir Das posted a statement on Twitter. An excerpt from it reads as, 'The video is a satire about the duality of two very separate Indias that do different things. Like any nation has light and dark, good and evil within it. None of this is a secret. The video appeals to us to never forget that we are great. To never stop focusing on what makes us great.'
