B- town actress Kangana Ranaut who is well known for being vocal about herself and her views has now made an appeal to her fans. The actress was left disappointed after legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s name was missing from Oscars 2022 and Grammys 2022 during the In Memorium ceremony. The actress has now appealed to her fans to boycott the western awards as they failed to pay respect to the iconic singer.Lata Mangeshkar's name was found missing from ‘In Memorium’ ceremony at Grammys 2022, which was held last week on Sunday. However the legendary singer’s name is mentioned in a list featured on the Grammys website. Not just this, a few weeks back, the Academy Awards had also been criticised for failing to include Lata Mangeshkar’s name in their list of tributes last.Expressing her sheer disappointment to it, the ‘Queen’ actress took to her Instagram stories and wrote, ‘We must take strong stands against any local awards who claim to be international and yet ignore and intentionally sideline legendary artists because of their race or ideologies... both Oscar and Grammy failed to give tribute to Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Ji... our media should totally boycott these biased local events who claim to be global awards…’ adding further she also wrote, ‘We should boycott these snooty western awards.’Many netizens and celebs took to twitter to express their disappointment. Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi wrote, ‘No notable mention for #Lata Ji during #Oscars & #Grammys is their loss, not ours.
