Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti was reportedly released from jail 18 days after she supported the nationwide anti-hijab protests. As per reports, she walked out of jail without a hijab and was welcomed by family and friends with bouquets. Reportedly, Taraneh had also made anti-government remarks on social media. The unrest in Iran started in September when a 22-year-old woman named Mahsa Amini was arrested for wearing inappropriate attire, not following the country’s strict dress code of women.
