Huma Qureshi on #MeToo allegations against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap: To my knowledge, he has neither misbehaved with me or anyone else

Clarifying her stand on #MeToo movement and opening up about her thoughts on filmmaker Anurag Kashyap amid sexual assault allegations against him, actress Huma Qureshi took to social media to post her first and last statement on the matter. Supporting her 'friend' Anurag, Huma said that they worked together last in 2012-2013 and in her personal experience and as far she knows, neither did he try to misbehave with her nor anyone else. Having said that, she also added that dismissing anyone's claims would be wrong too. She wrote, 'anyone who claims to be abused must report it to the authorities, the police and the judiciary.' However, Huma is angry not just for herself but also every woman whose years of hard work and struggle gets reduced to such baseless conjecture and allegations in their workplace. In conclusion, she said that 'it is the joint responsibility of women and men both to carefully protect the sanctity of #Metoo.'
