'Heartbroken' Anushka Sharma reacts to AB de Villiers' retirement from all forms of cricket; Virat Kohli says, 'This hurts my heart'

South African cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore's player Abraham Benjamin de Villiers on Friday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Just after AB de Villiers posted his decision on Twitter, Indian cricketer and RCB's captain Virat Kohli penned an emotional message for the legend. Virat's wife Anushka also reacted to the news and shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram story. Anushka wrote, 'One of the greatest men and cricketers I've had the privilege of knowing and watching. Wishing you, Danielle and the kids the very best in life always. You guys deserve everything beautiful and so much more, this is truly heartbreaking.' The South African legend joined RCB in 2011. Kohli took to Twitter to pay tribute to his 'brother' AB de Villiers and wrote, 'To the best player of our times and the most inspirational person I've met, you can be very proud of what you've done and what you've given to RCB my brother. Our bond is beyond the game and will always be. This hurts my heart but I know you've made the best decision for yourself and your family like you've always done. I love you.' Apart from posting the announcement on Twitter alongwith a monochrome picture of himself with 'Thankyou' written in Hindi, English and in Afrikaans, De Villiers also shared a video message through RCB's Twitter handle for the fans saying, 'I’m going to be an RCBian for life. Every single person in the RCB set-up has become family to me. People come & go, but the spirit & the love we have for each other at RCB will always remain. I’ve become half Indian now & I’m proud of that.'
