A video shared by filmmaker and author Vinod Kapri has gone viral on social media. In the video, the director can be seen having a conversation from his moving car with a 19-year-old boy named Pradeep Mehra who is sprinting on a road in Noida late in the night. Seeing him running, Vinod Kapri presumably slowed down his car and initiated a conversation with young Pradeep to find out why he is running and if he needs a drop. However, Pradeep refused his offer and said that he wants to continue running as it is his daily routine. Later in the conversation, he even went on to reveal that he wants to join the army. After offering to drop him multiple times, the National Award winning director asked Pradeep to have food at his place. But the latter said that he has to reach home and cook food for his elder brother, who works night shifts. When Vinod Kapri joked that this video clip is going to be viral, Pradeep laughed and said that he does not care because he is not doing anything wrong. In their conversation, the 19-year-old also revealed that he works at a McDonals’s outlet in sector 16 and that he runs 10 kms daily. The ‘Pihu’ director wished Pradeep ‘all the best’ to conclude the 2-min long video. Sharing the video on his Twitter account, Vinod Kapri wrote, ‘This is PURE GOLD. Last night, at around 12am, I saw this boy running on a road in Noida with a bag on his shoulders. I thought that he is facing some trouble, so I should offer him lift. However, he declined my offer. You will fall in love with him when you come to know why he said ‘no’ to taking lift.’ The heartwarming video has won the hearts of several netizens, including public figures and politicians, who have praised Pradeep for his dedication and even offered him any kind of help, if needed.
