While almost everyone's eyes and mind were glued to Aryan Khan's bail hearing, A special NDPS court heard Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli's bail plea. Kohli's bail was rejected by the court on October 14. Kohli, who has been in jail for more than 45 days now, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after the anti-drug agency raided his apartment and seized some banned drugs. The actor's lawyers, who are trying hard to pull Armaan out of the jail, argued in the court that, since a very small quantity of drugs were recovered from the actor's possession, the actor was entitled to bail. However, the Narcotic Control Bureau, opposed his plea by stating that Armaan is directly linked to the two prime accused in the case and it had recovered a large quantity of contraband from them. Sameer Wankhede, The Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau recently revealed that 'apart from consumption', some serious charges have been levelled against the actor. During an interaction with media, on the question of South American connection in the case where Armaan has been arrested, Sameer Wankhede said that 'apart from just consumption there are several other charges levelled against him.' Not only this, in a conversation with Bombay Times, Sameer Wankhede has mentioned that the NCB has launched an operation called Operation Rolling Thunder under which they have cracked down on multiple drug peddlers and users in India.
