'Disheartened' Bappi Lahiri refutes rumours of his ill health, says 'with the blessings of my fans and well-wishers, I am doing well!'

Music composer and veteran singer Bappi Lahiri, who has touched the soul of millions with his amazing voice, has expressed his displeasure over the reports going around on social media which says that the actor is not keeping well. Taking to his Instagram handle, the 'disheartened' singer has now dropped a post to clear the air and confirmed that he is all hale and hearty. In the post, the singer has penned a note which reads, 'disheartening to learn about certain media outlets putting false reports about me and my health. With the blessings of my fans and well-wishers, I am doing well! Bappida'. Earlier, there were reports that ever since he battled Covid-19 in April this year, he is keeping low and that he also refrains from talking, leading to speculation that he has lost his voice. In a conversation with a news portal, his son Bappa refuted all the rumours and opened up on the health of his father. He said, 'He has been advised not to talk as part of the recovery. That’s why onlookers wonder if he has lost his voice. But his spirits remain high. He is planning to record a Durga Puja song with Bengali actor Rituparna Sengupta. He also composed the song, Ganpati Bappa Morya, rendered by Anuradha Juju.'
