Deepika Padukone to don a disfigured look in Meghna Gulzar's 'Chhapaak'

Be it an uber-cool look for a modern love story or a traditional royal look for a period drama, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has always mesmerised her fans with her ravishing beauty. However, in her next venture 'Chhapaak', the actress would be seen in a disfigured look, essaying the role of acid attack victim Laxmi Aggarwal. 'Chhapaak's' director Meghna Gulzar confirmed that the audience won't be seeing Deepika the way they are used to. She said that there is an uncanny similarity between the actress and the acid attack survivor. The film, which also stars Vikrant Massey in a prominent role, will highlight how such kind of violence can damage a person's life.
