Breaking silence on the harassment row, CINTAA issued a statement regarding actress Tanushree Dutta's claim that the organisation did not take proper action on her complaint of sexual harassment against Nana Patekar in 2008. In the statement, they admitted that Tanushree's complaint was not addressed and found it highly regrettable. The association has also appealed to the authorities to take cognizance of Tanushree's statements and conduct an impartial and speedy enquiry, as CINTAA's guidelines do not allow the committee to take cases that date back more than three years.
