Cannes 2022: Shekhar Kapur confident of India becoming biggest media entertainment platform in world

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur during his visit at the 75th Cannes Film Festival stated that India will become the biggest media entertainment platform in the world in next few years.“I think that the reason I am here is to support the Minister (Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur) and the idea that India is about to become the biggest and largest media entertainment platform in the world,” he said while speaking to ANI. The filmmaker also said, “We're celebrating the future, not just the past. We're celebrating the way India has digitized & the way Indian youth & content creators are set to conquer the world.”Notably, India has been named the 'Country of Honour' at the Marche du Film.
