After Anurag Kashyap said that he hopes 'The Kashmir Files' doesn't get nominated for India's official entry at 'Oscars 2023', now Canadian filmmaker Dylan Mohan Gray also expressed his views. Gray, described the film as "hatemongering garbage of no artistic merit." In response to Vivek Agnihotri's reaction on Anurag's remark, Dylan tweeted "Yeah, actually it’s (hatemongering, revisionist) garbage of no artistic merit and will be a further embarrassment to India if ‘selected’ by the ‘neutral’ board… Anurag Kashyap is just trying to preserve what’s left of the country’s good name. #yourewelcome #KashmirFiles" In another tweet he wrote, 'though #RRR is also vile & sadistic, so not much of a step up'.
